The Beverley Towers is an exciting new proposal by Urban Solutions that responds to the need for rental housing designed specifically to serve Hamilton’s growing creative class. The 18-storey structure, located between Macklin Street South and Main Street West, is designed for 167 rental units, seven designed specifically for students. It envisions a modern aesthetic that responds to contemporary living. That means a fresh, layered facade featuring a mix of wood, glass, brick and metal. This aesthetic carries throughout the building’s interior, expressed in light airy spaces with clean detailing and authentic finishes.
Located within the emerging Education and Innovation District, we incorporate elements that appeal to the entrepreneurial demographic its targetting. We designed a floor of amenity space including a gym, yoga space, party room and business lounge. We included an outdoor amenity space on the rooftop of the podium and 96 parking space, both covered and at grade. The location is ideal in that it allows residents enviable access to our City’s transportation network, including Hamilton’s biking trails, future LRT route and a local community within close walking distance. It’s proximity to a growing arts community, the downtown core and the University is further enticement.
The property includes the existing Beverly Hills Apartment Tower, a three pronged 15 storey tower on a circular podium of three levels of parking. We were careful to ensure the new proposed design enhances the site and is appropriate given its prominence at this high profile corner of the city’s landscape.
