Spot Cannabis, Flagship Location
Opportunity
The Spot Cannabis Co. envisioned a different type of cannabis retail experience, focused on client education. In designing its first flagship location, a 2,000 sq. ft. space, they set out to create a lifestyle brand, reflected in its design.
Response
Customers are greeted with a curved wall of solid wood and frosted glass, separating shoppers from the exterior. The use of natural materials such as wood and brick throughout create a home-like environment, while atmospheric lighting is designed to make this a relaxing, exclusive shopping experience. Self-serve i-Pad stations are set into banks of custom millwork, providing an interactive way to communicate the benefits and effects of various cannabis strains and products. A second bank of custom millwork displays products for purchase and allows shoppers to leisurely browse, surrounded by live plants. Live plants and green walls are integrated into the design, reinforcing the connection to the natural environment. Concrete floor polishing and warm, rich tones achieve a high-end design aesthetic, while respecting the fit-out limitations of the lease agreement.
