Assembly Corp has shared another construction update on the affordable housing project at 1120 Ossington for St. Clare’s.

Panel installation has begun! Constructed out of mass-timber and lightweight-framed panels, the affordable housing project for St. Clare’s will provide 25 deeply affordable units for individuals experiencing homelessness.

The design team was tasked with creating a three-storey mass timber building that integrates seamlessly with the existing structure. Utilizing turn-key building solutions, the project employs prefabricated wood products to ensure efficient and sustainable construction. The building is equipped with air source heat pumps to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The design focuses on maximizing the site’s potential, providing comfortable, humanizing living spaces while adhering to rapid delivery timelines.
