For the third consecutive year, the Centre generated more electric power than it consumes — its surplus could supply electricity to 30 homes for nearly one year. As Canada’s largest Net Zero energy institutional facility and the first to be awarded a Zero Carbon Building Designation from the CaGBC, The Joyce Centre is a hub for carbon-neutral technologies and operations.
