THE OPPORTUNITY        

mcCallumSather is looking to grow our management team with the intention of developing an efficient process that will provide project managers/project architects/engineers with the necessary tools and resources to manage project teams efficiently and effectively. This position will require a high degree of interaction between the finance department, the COO and senior staff. Ongoing responsibilities include the development of and weekly tracking of project schedules, cash flows and staffing resources to ensure project managers are fully supported in achieving deliverables within strict timelines. As a member of the management team, it will be very important for the Functional Manager to quickly earn the trust and respect of the firm Directors, Principals, Associates and their peers.

This position will report directly to the COO with the Associates and Project Managers directly accountable to the Functional Manager for managing schedules within the time allocations. Ancillary expectations of the role will involve researching associated software and direct involvement on special committees from time to time to continue to develop firm processes and culture supportive of a total team collaborative environment that strives for continuous improvement and innovation.

ROLE

mcCallumSather is looking to create a dedicated BIM Manager Role within our growing firm. The role involves technical expertise combined with management skills, knowledge of architecture, building elements, building details, specifications and construction methodology. This role will aid in both establishing and maintaining high standards of model generation, detailing and coordination across all disciplines, architectural, mechanical and interiors within the firm using Revit Autodesk software. As a BIM Manager, it is necessary to be capable of understand and mapping the whole process, understand the content of design, coordinate the disciplines and modelers intertwined with the process of construction. It is a key consideration to understand how the parts fit together and bring integrity to the architectural discipline.

The BIM Manager will manage and delegate tasks for standards management, content/template creation and be responsible for the quality control of model creation. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide training and support to our Revit Team on standards, software upgrades and to host regular Revit sessions to cultivate the skillset of the team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-initiated architect or senior technologist who wishes to lead the team as we move forward with our continued commitment to use Revit.

ROLE   

The role of Intermediate Construction Administrator (CA) will involve performing traditional field and office CA duties under the supervision of senior personnel including senior contract administrators, project managers and project architects. The position involves understanding and promoting high-performance enclosures and sustainable design to facilitate the firm’s commitment to exceptional service delivery, design excellence and innovation. The CA will play an important role in the firm’s quality assurance/quality control processes in reviewing contract documents. The ideal candidate will have prior experience preparing contract drawings, specifications, schedules, detail design and sketches from conceptual design, and working on projects from tender to construction completion.
